An effective method was sought to report the observations derived from the images. The goal was to replicate the experience of a live presentation, where images and text accompany a speaker's words and gestures. This time, however, complex findings are communicated in a series of images. : First, the best images were selected and presented in a sequence. Scale changes were clearly indicated to orient the viewer with the process. Moreover, specific observations were directly marked on the images by visual annotations, such as, outlining and colorizing parts. Explanations placed below the image served as captions. The resulting image thus 'reads' like a visual sentence—but without the help of a speaker.
